Resilient
Resilient flooring is used to describe flooring materials that feel firm yet characteristically have “give” and bounce back to their original surface profile from the weight of heavy equipment. Resilient flooring is the most popular hard surface flooring in the United States.
Resilient flooring is manufactured in both roll and tile form. Common types include:
Vinyl composition tile or VCT
Vinyl tile and sheet vinyl also called luxury vinyl tile
Linoleum tile and sheet flooring
Rubber tile and sheet flooring
Cork tile and sheet flooring
Advantages include: durability, comfort under foot, cost effectiveness and aesthetic appeal. Other attributes include impervious to water, resists stains and can be easily disinfected. Cleaning and maintaining is relatively easy.
Blakley’s resilient installations include: Schools, Healthcare Facilities, Clean Rooms, Lavatories, Super Markets, Drug Stores, Storage Areas, Break Rooms, Restaurants, Spas, Medical Offices, Storage Areas, and Libraries. Installation requires a skilled mechanic to determine the best layout in the room, set the tile, weld seams and detail the space for a durable result.
