Terrazzo

One of the oldest forms of floor covering, this manufactured on-site, insitu, flooring material has a reputation for longevity. This classic floor material is the foundation for court houses, airports and public buildings across our great nation. It is easy to maintain and most suitable for high traffic areas. A poured epoxy or cementitious terrazzo floor is manufactured on the job site. ?

All of the benefits of terrazzo can be realized by utilizing terrazzo tile. A terrazzo tile floor avoids the manufacturing mess of a poured in place installation and the installation time is substantially less. Terrazzo tile is cost effective and is ideal for small and/or occupied areas where poured in place terrazzo is not an option. Terrazzo tile is a durable, economical choice for shopping centers and malls.

Terrazzo tile may be fused and ground in place to provide a water tight, bacteria resistant floor typically required for operating rooms, laboratories and clean rooms. Installed on walls it also provides wear and tear protection.

Blakley’s received the prestigious Honor Award from the National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association for Franklin Community High School in 2008. Blakley’s installed five colors of epoxy terrazzo in an intricate floor design including the school logo.
