Wood and Cork

Wood and cork, two natural renewable products, are flooring products of choice when durability, quiet and a sense of warmth are desired.    

Wood floors come in many sizes, styles, colors, stains, finishes and species, from bamboo to dark cherry. Pre-finished wood offers a manufactured tough, durable finish hard to achieve on the job.  

Engineered or laminate floors are manufactured using a cross directional construction process with a pre-finished premium wood top layer to counteract the natural tendency of wood to expand and contract in humidity and with the change of seasons. Engineered flooring has all of the attributes of wood flooring with the advantage of being suitable for installation below grade.  

Cork floors are available in many colors, stains and patterns, in tiles and planks. Cork floors insulate against temperature and noise. Pre-finished in the factory they are resistant to moisture. A renewable resource, only the bark of the tree is used to make cork flooring which grows back in nine years.  

Wood and cork are both used in offices and public buildings.
